SpectatorHistogram: Efficient Percentile Approximations

Building on the content of our session from an earlier Druid Summit where we compared different solutions for computing percentiles, we’ll do a deeper dive into how to use the SpectatorHistogram extension. In this session we’ll introduce Spectator Histogram, a Druid extension and storage format that allows good approximations of distributions, can scale to Trillions of rows while maintaining good query performance and allows for native Percentile queries. This extension will be offered as Open Source by the time of the Summit.
