Fangjin is a co-author of the open source Druid project and a co-founder of Imply, a San Francisco based technology company. Fangjin previously held senior engineering positions at Metamarkets and Cisco. He holds a BASc in Electrical Engineering and a MASc in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer
Vadim is a co-founder and CPO at Imply, where he uses Plywood with React to build open source UIs on top of Druid. Prior he worked as a UI lead at Metamarkets (acquired by Snapchat). In 2011 he graduated from Stanford University with a M.S. in Computer Science . At Stanford he was part of the Data Visualization group where he contributed to Protovis and D3.js. His open-source development is now focused on Plywood and other Big Data visualization tools.

Gian is a co-founder and CTO of Imply. Gian is also one of the main committers of Druid. Previously, Gian led the data ingestion team at Metamarkets and held senior engineering positions at Yahoo. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Caltech.

Travis Patterson leads the Imply sales and customer success organizations. He has over 20 years of enterprise sales experience, including sales and support leadership roles at SignalFx (acquired by Splunk), Mesosphere, Aviso, CipherCloud, IronKey and Opsware.

Rachel is here to make sure your experience with the Imply product is delightful from the start. A “Big Data Geek-ette,” No stranger to the world of high-performance databases and data warehouses, Rachel has more than 20 years of business intelligence and data engineering experience, and is a Cassandra, Vertica, Informix and Redbrick certified DBA on top of her work with Druid. Rachel has an M.B.A. from San Francisco State University and a B.A. in Mathematics from University of California, Santa Cruz.

Jad Naous is currently VP R&D at Imply where he leads engineering and product. Before joining Imply, Jad was a partner on the enterprise investments teams at Andreessen Horowitz, where he worked on dozens of deals. He was an early employee at AppDynamics before that, where he wore every hat available on the engineering and product team, including heading up architecture. Jad started his career by founding a startup in the QA space which unfortunately shut down, leaving him with many learnings.
