In this presentation, we will explain how to easily set up a Druid cluster in a Kubernetes environment. You can install all the necessary components for a Druid cluster with just one Helm chart. By using the Druid operator, you can easily and quickly construct all the components required for a Druid cluster, such as sts, services, configmaps, and more, by creating a concise druid spec.
We will start with a simple overview of the architecture we’ve designed for running Druid on Kubernetes and then dive into the details of the Helm chart. While our Helm chart is based on the Druid Operator, we’ve made some modifications for improved readability. Creating this useful Helm chart was no simple task, so we will explain the various settings we encountered during the process.
Lastly, we will share our experience of migrating Druid from on-premise to a Kubernetes environment. We will discuss the testing we conducted before deploying Druid in a production environment and present the results of our performance tests.
