Fangjin Yang

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Fangjin is one of the original authors of the open source Apache Druid® project and co-founder and CEO at Imply. Fangjin previously held senior engineering positions at Metamarkets and Cisco. He holds a BASc in Electrical Engineering and a MASc in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo

Gian is one of the original authors of the open source Apache Druid® project and co-founder and CTO at Imply. Gian is also the Apache Druid® Committee (PMC) Chair. Previously, Gian led the data ingestion team at Metamarkets and held senior engineering positions at Yahoo. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Caltech.

Vadim Ogievetsky

Co-Founder and Chief Experience Officer

Vadim is one of the original authors of the open source Apache Druid® project and co-founder and CXO at Imply. Prior to Imply he worked at Metamarkets (acquired by Snapchat). Vadim holds an M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University. At Stanford he was part of the Data Visualization group where he contributed to Protovis and D3.js.

Eric Tschetter

Chief Officer, Emerging Solutions

Eric is one of the original authors of the open source Apache Druid® project and Chief Officer, Emerging Solutions at Imply. He has been consistently working with Druid throughout his roles as a Fellow at Splunk and before that as a Distinguished Engineer at Yahoo Inc. Eric was a member of the founding team of Tidepool, a Diabetes Data Non-Profit, and was the VP of Engineering at Metamarkets, where Druid originated. Eric holds a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Tokyo and B.A. in Computer Science and Japanese from the University of Texas at Austin.

Pranav Parekh

Chief Customer Officer

Pranav, Chief Customer Officer at Imply, brings 25 years of tech leadership with stints at Google, Oracle, Apigee, and DataStax. An integral part of the team that led Apigee’s IPO and acquisition by Google, his vision blends strategic innovation with a deep commitment to customer success. He holds an MBA from Pepperdine and emphasizes a customer-first approach in his work. As a cancer survivor, his involvement with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society underscores his dedication to community service. At Imply, he’s redefining excellence, driving the team towards unparalleled customer experiences fueled by a deep understanding of customer needs.

Prior to joining Imply, she held various HR leadership roles at Highspot, Skytap and Dell EMC. Jennifer holds a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from University of California, Berkeley.

Jay leads Imply’s worldwide sales organization. He has been in the data and analytics space for over twenty years. Jay has led sales organizations at AWS, MapR(acquired by HP), Rockset and Oracle and holds a B.A. degree from University of Southern California.

Tony is CFO at Imply and leads the corporate finance teams. He has extensive experience leading teams in finance, accounting, legal, HR, facilities, sales operations and corporate development. Tony holds a B.A. from John Hopkins University and an MBA from Stanford University.

Gabriel is the VP of Product Management at Imply. He leads the Product, UX, Documentation and Developer Relations teams. Prior to Imply he held product leadership roles at Adobe, Appcelerator, Twin Prime (acquired by Salesforce) and Salesforce. Gabriel holds an MBA from Stanford University.

Juleen Konkel

General Counsel

Juleen is General Counsel at Imply where she leads the global legal and compliance team. She is a seasoned legal executive with fifteen years of experience growing the legal function in both growth startups and global enterprises. Her expertise includes a nuanced understanding of the goals of emerging growth companies and is known for driving alignment between the business, people, and legal functions. Juleen earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from CSU East Bay and a JD from the University of New Hampshire, Franklin Pierce Law Center.

Martin Casado

General Partner, a16z

Martin Casado is a general partner at the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz where he focuses on enterprise investing. He was previously the cofounder and chief technology officer at Nicira, which was acquired by VMware for $1.26 billion in 2012. While at VMware, Martin was a fellow, and served as senior vice president and general manager of the Networking and Security Business Unit.

Elliott Robinson

Partner, Bessemer Venture Partners

Elliott Robinson is a partner and co-founder of the growth investment practice at Bessemer, where he focuses primarily on Cloud software investments. He looks to partner with companies and management teams that are defining their market category while also maintaining a set of core values that will allow them to expand and solidify their leadership position.
